A bit about me…
The son of public servants, I grew up in South London, my Dad’s family living and working in and around Croydon. I’ve had great opportunities in my life – I’ve never been out of work, homeless or failed by the education system and I had the choice to become many things – I could have been a lawyer, a doctor, or a banker.
Angered by division and inequality I chose to build a career as a teacher, community organiser and campaigner challenging our financial system. I can’t simply focus on my life, while so many others have unmet needs. I look around and see the inequalities and it stops me in my tracks.
It is part of who I am to act and I aim to do all I can to be of service to our communities. I’m fighting to close the divisions that exist in our borough and to create an equality of work, housing and education.
I believe by doing politics together and making a contribution we’ve got the opportunity to build a borough where we can all live more fulfilling lives and take pride in Croydon. I hope you’ll get involved too and do email me if you’d like to collaborate on any of they campaigns you see here.
